What's so Amazing about Myspace?

O.K. so a question just came to my mind. What is so great about myspace anyways? In my opinion, ever since I started blogging on progressiveu.org, I find myspace rather boring, no one can be articulate, or act like a mature person. Most people have clique profiles, they basically all say the same thing "Hi, I'm so and so, I go to whatever high school, class of 2005!" and then they proceed to tell you all of these things that most people care little about, like your going to really know someone because you know what they like and who there heroe is.

The only reason I ever even created a myspace was because it was easy communication, you didn't have to download anything, no messangers, or anything like that. But, now whenever I got on I find myself asking "Why in the world do I even go on here anymore?" I just don't understand what is so amazing and life changing about myspace. Let's see, Immature people fight in the groups and through messages, people block each other, deny friend requests, and instead of talking to the person they are mad at, they post blogs saying "F you and your a B and your this and your that" and start a whole bunch of drama.

People are so obsessed with the idea of myspace, I think if half of them sat down and really thought "Why in the heck am I always on here everyday?" that many would realize that that's what they spend their day doing and hopefully some would realize that they need to be more productive than that. Myspace, yes it is good communication, you can talk to your friends, but you shouldn't feel like you need to be on their everyday 24/7. Myspace used to be fun but, feeling the need to check it each day, like it rules your life really tends to take the fun out of the whole site.

I mean there are some people who sit there daily and just talk alll day with their friends, there is nothing wrong with that but when you have a major freak out and have to get to a computer stat and you act like it's a life or death situation, I think you pretty much have a myspace addiction, and also another hint, wearing stuff that says myspace on it, it's a little out of the ordinary, you have problem, I'll start a group on there "People addicted to myspace: stop the pain now, before it's too late" ha.

It's a so-so site but, it shouldn't be your number one main priority, I'm sorry to say that but, homework is more important than myspace ~GASP!~

Thanks for Listening, this has been blogging with Caity =) Have a Great Night =)

for a while.. i could call myself a "recovering addict" .... HAHHAHH!

I ask myself that too. Why?
It sparked the "scene kids" idea and the annoying use of "&&" which is not even convienent to use. After I started my acct with PU, myspace was so bland. Nobody on there blogged about anything important. Bluntly, the majority of their friends don't care how their day went, so why?
Is this a convienient actitivity?
Doesn't cost anything, an electricity bill....
doesn't require one to leave the house, or even get dressed for that matter.
Is this the only means of attention they seem to be getting?
"Comment me, whores"
It's also a lame excuse to talk to one's crush until he/she has the balls to ask that person out.

lmao, right?
peace.

I definantly agree. Myspace is doubly boring and quite lame. Comment whores, and stalkers, what a world, ha. =)

I guess it depends on why you opened a MySpace?

I started my MySpace after my ProU account. I was getting harrassed by old schoolmates about never being able to get a hold of me. So I opened it up and every once in a while I post it (and I do enjoy writing the layouts). But most of the time, I just use it to catch up with old high school buddies. And, every once in a while, I post a small piece of my blog here over onto MySpace with a link to where they can come and read the entire thing. Seems to work, LOL. To that end - MySpace works well for me.

But a lot of people seem to join just to see how many "friends" they can get to add them and how many stupid bulletins they can post.

That's a good reason to start a myspace, but all these comment and friend whores are quite annoying! You get a friend request and it's only to get friends, not to be a friend. I love your layout, I wish I could write them. =( Only fanaile. =)

myspace was exciting to be on when i first discovered it. now i barely check it and i don't really care what other people have to say to me because it seems so dispersonable to me. Talking to someone i know through a computer rather than in person.

I'm over myspace, thank god. Since I quit, I've had so much more time to do beneficial things such as college and scholarship applications and sleeping (because I somehow didn't need sleep when I was a myspace addict).
