I know what you are expecting. You are expecting me to say I am addicted to drugs, drinking, or something of that sort. I’m not addicted to those I’m addicted to using the internet. It gives me joy. Whenever I’m down that’s what I turn to. Whether I’m doing a research or just surfing the web or just using facebook and chatting. I’m always on the internet at least twice a day.
I know this is not a problem for most people but it’s a big one for me. Because internet in my country is not free of charge. The first fifteen hours of every month are free, actually not free but seventy birr (seven dollars).Whether you use the first full fifteen hours or less you have to pay seventy birr. My mom doesn’t mind paying seventy birr for it because she likes it that I use the internet to find scholarships. But she gets really mad when the bill comes and she finds out that it is more than seventy birr. It’s usually guaranteed that it is going to coast more than seventy birr because of my excessive use. Why does using the internet give me so much pleasure? Am I the only one with this problem? Or is the internet addictive to everyone?
